By adopting Bitcoin, AT&T is introducing the world\u2019s leading cryptocurrency to their more than 159 million customers and 281,000 employees. As one of the most recognized brands in the country, AT&T is blazing the path to hyperbitcoinization<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Microsoft<\/a> is one of the world\u2019s largest companies in terms of market capitalization, global reach, and name recognition. Despite its size and reputation as one of the world\u2019s leading innovators in the technology space, the Redmond, WA based firm only allows its users to pay with Bitcoin<\/a> for topping up their Microsoft accounts. From the Microsoft account, users can pay for Xbox Live gaming subscription, games, apps, videos and other content from within the Microsoft Store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though it\u2019s great that Bitcoin has found such a reputable cosign in Microsoft, we\u2019d like to see the tech giant begin to accept Bitcoin payments and Lightning Network payments for products directly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NewEgg<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

NewEgg is a leading online retailer specializing in consumer electronics. The company gained prominence within the Bitcoin community because they have made buying Bitcoin mining equipment incredibly easy and central to their business. airBaltic<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In July 2014, airBaltic<\/a> became the world\u2019s first airline to accept Bitcoin<\/a> payments for flights. Shortly after the initial announcement, the airBaltic CEO Martin Gauss stated, \u201cairBaltic has been ranked among the top 10 most innovative airlines globally. Introducing the Bitcoin payment option is a part of our innovative approach to service with a central focus on our customers.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
